CURRENT AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Temporary Tax Attorney
A top downtown Pittsburgh law firm is currently seeking an experienced tax attorney to assist with a long-term project. An active PA Bar is required and the following tax experience is necessary: PA state (Corporate/Sales) tax, federal corporate tax and IRS dispute/settlements. Experience gained in either a law firm or corporate legal department will be accepted.

Document Review Attorneys
Choice Counsel is currently seeking document review attorneys to assist with a large-scale project for a top downtown Pittsburgh law firm. An active State Bar membership is required: Not exclusive to PA (If you have just passed the Bar, you will need to be sworn in). The project will be located in downtown Pittsburgh and, although not necessary, prior document review experience is greatly appreciated (Project or non-project based). Electronic document review experience is a plus.

Document Review Managers/Team Leaders (Attorneys/Paralegals)
Choice Counsel is currently seeking experienced document review managers to assist with a large-scale corporate project located in Irving, TX (Paralegal or Attorney management experience). Ideal candidates will have prior document review management experience for either a law firm or corporate legal department, managing/overseeing teams of paralegals or attorneys.

Asbestos Defense Attorneys (Multiple Positions/Multiple Locations)
A top downtown Pittsburgh law firm is currently seeking experienced attorneys with the following background(s):
Asbestos defense
Toxic tort defense
Product liability defense

Necessary experience:
Depositions
Legal document drafting (motions/answers)
(Courtroom experience is a plus)

Project description:
Long-term, possibly temporary-to-hire
As-needed (initially utilized when depositions are scheduled). Responsibilities may expand with time.

Position locations:

DOCUMENT REVIEW ATTORNEY PROJECTS
Choice Counsel is currently accepting attorney resumes for upcoming document review projects for both law firms and corporate legal departments. These upcoming document projects will be located in downtown Pittsburgh and the surrounding suburbs. Experience reviewing documents through either a law firm or a corporate legal department is ideal and prior document review project experience is preferred. An ACTIVE state bar membership is required and database experience (SUMMATION) is a plus.

Bankruptcy Paralegal
A law firm located in the Eastern Pittsburgh suburbs is seeking an experienced bankruptcy paralegal for a full-time (Permanent) position. Ideal candidates will have experience with bankruptcy matters (7,11,13 and filings) gained through a law firm or corporate legal department. Additional experience with Collier Top Form software is greatly appreciated. Strong knowledge/experience of bankruptcy review and electronic filing will be necessary.

Legal Secretary
Choice Counsel is currently seeking an experienced legal secretary to assist in-house for a top international corporation located in southwestern PA. This position will provide a variety of routine and complex clerical, secretarial, and administrative support work in maintaining office operations, preparing legal documents, and providing administrative assistance. Ideal candidates will have prior legal secretary experience within a corporate legal department or law firm, including drafting, file maintenance, timesheet preparation, correspondence and database updates. Strong computer skills are necessary.

Choice Counsel is currently seeking paralegals to assist with projects located in downtown Pittsburgh for either a top law firm or an in-house corporate legal department. Ideal candidates will have prior experience within a law firm or corporate legal department and possess strong computer skills, attention to detail and file review/maintenance. Although not necessary, a Paralegal Certificate is greatly appreciated. These projects are long-term (Possibly temporary-to-hire) in nature and will begin ASAP.

Full-Time Corporate Paralegal
A top downtown Pittsburgh Corporation has a full-time need for an experienced corporate paralegal. Ideal candidates would have a background handling corporate matters (SEC filings, subsidiaries, proxy-statements, corporate document management) gained through a law firm or corporate legal department. Strong computer skills and a Paralegal Certificate are greatly appreciated.

Full-Time (Or Part-Time) Asbestos Discovery Paralegal
A Corporation located in the South-Eastern Pittsburgh suburbs is currently seeking an experienced asbestos discovery paralegal to assist in a full-time or part-time capacity. Ideal candidates will have prior experience handling asbestos related discovery matters, including file maintenance, drafting and research. Experience gained through a law firm or corporate legal department will be accepted.

Full-Time Litigation Defense Paralegal
A top downtown Pittsburgh firm and Corporation are currently seeking an experienced litigation defense paralegal for a full-time (Permanent) position. Ideal candidates will have prior legal experience with litigation defense (Insurance, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury or Workers’ Compensation), gained through a law firm or corporate legal department. Legal drafting and strong computer skills will be required and computer experience with iPro, or compatible software, is greatly appreciated.

Law Clerks/Non-Barred JD's
A top downtown Pittsburgh Corporation is currently seeking law clerks/non-barred JD's to assist with a long-term, on-going inner-office audit. Candidates will be responsible for reviewing all legal billing matters for accuracy/adjustments, while working in coordination with the legal adjusters and billing department. Prior legal experience and/or financial experience is greatly appreciated. This will be a Monday through Friday, 40 hr/week project. Candidates who will be taking the Bar, are awaiting Bar results or have no future plans on taking the Bar examination will be accepted.

Summation Paralegals
Choice Counsel is currently seeking paralegals experienced with the computer database known as Summation. A top Pittsburgh law firm and a National Corporation have immediate needs for Summation paralegals to assist with large-scale document review projects (Long-term temporary and temporary-to-hire opportunities). Summation experience gained through an educational background, law firm or corporate legal department will be accepted.

Coding Paralegals (Long-Term Temporary/Temporary-To-Hire)
Immediate need for skilled paralegals with coding/indexing experience for top downtown law firms and large corporations in the Pittsburgh suburbs. Prior coding/indexing experience through a law firm or a corporation is greatly appreciated. SUMMATION EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
